Adelaide jazz legend Charli Holoubek (of Gumbo Ya Ya fame) has selected and set six of Geoff Goodfellow's poems to music. The result is The Punter - a seven-track CD featuring Harry van Venetie vocalising Geoff's poems, as well as one of his own on track seven. A list of other serious jazz luminaries have contributed to the recording.
The Punter is a must for Geoff Goodfellow's fans. The title track was written in 2013 following the death of Geoff's brother 'Bluey' from throat cancer. This poem first appeared in print in the Best Australian Poems 2014 published by Black Inc, edited by Geoff Page.

Geoff Goodfellow has been writing and publishing poetry and short prose for over thirty years. He has performed his poetry at schools, jails, colleges, universities, construction sites, factories, rock concerts and literary festivals. Translations of his poems have appeared in Mandarin, Greek, Italian and Spanish. Geoff lives close to the sea in Semaphore, South Australia.
